Behaviour Support Assistant – Make a Difference Every Day | Secondary School in BL4
Location: BL4 area (Farnworth / Kearsley)
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, term-time only
Pay: £85–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

We’re working with a well-respected secondary school in the BL4 area, known for its inclusive ethos and strong pastoral care, to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with experience in youth work, mentoring, care, or schools — or someone who’s naturally resilient, patient, and passionate about helping students reach their potential.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties, both in class and in dedicated support areas.
Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage progress and self-regulation.
Helping students reintegrate into lessons following incidents or time out.
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
Contributing to a calm, safe school environment that prioritises wellbeing and respect.
Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs or behaviour support requirements.
A proactive, solution-focused approach.
Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
A resilient and empathetic personality who can model positive behaviour.
Someone reliable, consistent, and committed to long-term impact.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
