The Role
What you will be doing:
Managing purchase orders and resolving queries with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Supporting monthly and quarterly stock counts across departments.
Assisting with month-end closing processes: P&L and balance sheet postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
Supporting compliance with Smurfit Westrock’s internal financial controls.
Providing general support to the finance team on day-to-day and project-based tasks.
What You’ll Bring:
A growth mindset with a desire to develop within the finance function.
A proactive and curious approach—you don’t settle for “how it’s always been done.”
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience and Skills:
At least 2 years’ experience in a junior finance role (desired but not essential).
An understanding of month-end/year-end processes and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Experience with SAP is a bonus, but not essential.
