Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a Student Manager who are interested in ensuring a high standard of pastoral student support and student learning as well as deliver support student learning across KS4
THE STUDENT MANAGER POST INFORMATION:
A popular school located in Stanmore are seeking a students manager to join the school and provide support to students and staff across the key stages. Student support and development across all areas of responsibility as well as monitoring and tracking attendance of all students. To maintain a purposeful working environment within the Home Bases (year group areas) at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS STUDENT MANAGER ROLE:
1. degree qualified
2. Good GCSE Grades
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT
3. 8am – 3pm
4. Monday – Friday
5. Full-time
You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.
WHAT DOES THE STUDENT MANAGER ROLE INVOLVE:
The student support manager will require you to provide an additional layer of support between the teaching assistants and teachers. To monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, coaching and Support, to provide a safe teaching and learning environment, counsel students when appropriate and To monitor and track the attendance of all students. The ideal Student Manager will enforce the behaviour for learning policy and monitor student behaviour and intervention strategies for Students at KS4.
WHAT WILL PROSPERO AND THE SCHOOL DO TO HELP ME IF I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE?
As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO. These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supported by Prospero. Regular meetings and CPD training sessions are offered by Prospero and the school to ensure you are learning, growing and developing within the Student Manager role. Resources at the school are fantastic; all departments are well resourced, have a supportive team and are keen to secure someone to essentially support them.
