KS1 Teacher – Maternity Cover – September Start
Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for an opportunity in a supportive school? A welcoming primary school is seeking an experienced Teacher to provide maternity cover from September 2025 to April 2026, with the potential for extension.
This role requires a teacher with strong behaviour management skills who can create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. The successful candidate must be empathetic and patient, especially as several pupils require additional emotional support, ensuring all children feel valued and supported. The school prefers someone available to start as soon as possible for a handover period before the maternity leave begins. You will have allocated PPA time with the year group partner and are expected to attend staff meetings.
Job Role:
1. Teaching a KS1 class, ensuring all pupils make progress.
2. Creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
3. Managing behaviour effectively, using a nurturing approach.
4. Working collaboratively with your year group partner during PPA time.
5. Attending staff meetings and contributing to the wider school community.
