What you’ll be doing
as the Thermal Hydrolysis Plant (THP) Manager
1. Increasing asset availability and performance within strict quality targets is key to the success of this role and will be achieved with a strong health & safety focus.
2. Health and Safety – This is our number 1 priority for everyone in our team, and you will effectively lead the Health & Safety culture of the team, as well as driving and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
3. We need to protect our environment, and we are looking for someone who can effectively perform management of our Sewage Treatment Works site compliance by ensuring the site achieves and maintains its required plant availability and reliability to meet quality targets that are set by our regulator.
4. Driving the team to achieve optimal performance in terms of work management, along with being responsible for developing the team and introducing new skills and Health & Safety awareness.
5. Owning and managing the budgetary and financial activities of the team and driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget.
6. Customer & Stakeholder Management - ensuring exceptional service to our customers with early personal interventions as required.
What should you bring to the role?
7. Experienced with engaging & developing teams; ideally with site-based industrial or municipal process teams.
8. Ability to guide and achieve results in a difficult environment with a strong focus on, and good working knowledge of, health and safety.
9. A good communicator and competent in using IT equipment/systems, and able to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
10. BOAS and/or WAMITAB qualifications will be beneficial, but training will be given to the right candidate.
11. Due to the nature of this role, a full, valid driving licence is needed.
