Anglian Learning is seeking an exceptional Principal to lead Soham Village College and shape the future of education within our secondary sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to drive innovation, raise standards, and build on the school’s strong foundations while contributing to the strategic development of the wider Trust.
As Principal, you will provide strategic leadership and accountability for the school’s direction, standards, and quality of education. You will work collaboratively with the Trust’s Executive Leadership Team and central support teams to ensure the school continues to thrive and deliver outstanding outcomes for all students.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic vision and development of Soham Village College
* Drive excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum innovation
* Build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors, and the wider community
* Develop leadership capacity and nurture talent across the school
* Collaborate with Trust leaders to strengthen educational practice across the secondary sector
Person Specification
* ✔ Substantial leadership experience at Headteacher, Principal, or Deputy level
* ✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree‑level qualification
* ✔ A strong track record of school improvement and raising standards
* ✔ Deep knowledge of the secondary curriculum and educational policy
* ✔ Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills
* ✔ A commitment to safeguarding, equality of opportunity, and student wellbeing
