 
        
        IT Projects Engineer – Eurofins Food & Water Testing UK & IE
Fixed‑Term Contract until 31 March 2027 (possibility of extension). Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.

Job Description
As an IT Projects Engineer you will apply IT infrastructure engineering expertise to all IT projects within the UK and Ireland, representing the organisation in project meetings and providing technical approvals on change requests.
Main Duties
 * Act as an IT Projects representative during project meetings with the business.
 * Serve as the UK and Ireland infrastructure team technical approval for relevant change requests and attend CAB meetings.
 * Ensure that the security and compliance of the IT zone are maintained.
 * Provide IT infrastructure support for Eurofins non‑integrated entities within scope.
 * Escalate any engineering issues as appropriate.
 * Collaborate closely with regional teams (operations, security, network, compute, cloud, service desk) and local infrastructure to ensure project delivery.
 * Be heavily involved in the delivery of a wide range of IT projects, including but not limited to:
 o New laboratory software and instrumentation
 o Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
 o New build sites or site expansions
 o Service improvements
 o Laboratory core software rollouts/upgrades
 * Provide progress reporting to management on key project milestones and deliverables.
 * Deliver a very high level of service with a customer‑first focus.
 * Participate in developmental training as required by company standards.
 * Provide on‑site and off‑site support, possibly as part of a shift rotation.
 * Prepare technical proposals for improvement.
 * Manage, create and maintain working documentation (architectural artifacts, site documentation, SOPs and FAQs).
Qualifications
 * Full driving licence and willingness to travel to other Eurofins UK sites.
 * In‑depth knowledge of supporting appropriate versions of Microsoft Windows.
 * Strong hardware support skills, including maintenance of PCs, printers and related equipment.
 * Experience with basic Windows Server administration (AD user creation, password administration, Group Policy, etc.).
 * Microsoft Exchange/Outlook client experience.
 * Strong Microsoft Office support skills.
 * Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
 * Excellent communication skills.
 * Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
 * Ability to adhere to SLAs and meet KPIs.
 * Relevant accreditation such as A+, Server+ or equivalent.
