Production Operative
Production Operative / Team Leader - £28,000 - Monday to Friday
The Job:
A dairy production facility is looking for a Production Operative to join the team within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands on role focused around carton machinery and Tetra Pak production processes, helping ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards across the site. Alongside daily production duties, the role will also involve supporting the wider team and stepping into a supervisory position when needed. This would suit someone with experience in food or dairy production who is confident working within a fast-paced environment and happy taking responsibility when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor carton and Tetra Pak production machinery
- Help ensure production targets and quality standards are met
- Support the day to day running of production within the dairy facility
- Carry out machine checks, changeovers, and basic fault finding
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Assist with workflow coordination and production planning
- Support and supervise production staff when required
- Help improve efficiency and productivity across the shift

The Candidate:
- Previous experience within food, dairy, or milk production
- Experience operating carton machinery and/or Tetra Pak systems
- Good understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Previous supervisory experience, or confidence stepping into a leadership role
- Practical, reliable, and proactive approach to work
- Good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
The Package:
- Salary circa £28,000 salary depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Full-time, permanent role

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
