Job description: Location: Wyndley Leisure Centre, B73 6EB Working Hours: 12.5 hours per week covering late & weekend shifts Salary: £12.60 per hour Excellent benefits Here at Birmingham Community Leisure Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join the centre. In the role of the Facilities Assistant you will assist the Duty Manager with setting up and setting down centre activities, provide quality customer service to all centre users, promote the sale of products and services within the centre, set up and set down activities inside centre and within centre grounds and set up and set down activities inside centre and within centre grounds. In addition, the role will involve the below. To undertake the general duties, including: Dealing with general enquiries. Promoting good customer relations. Re-stock vending machines. Maintain cleaning standards. Assisting in marketing by ensuring that any promotional leaflets, brochures etc. are effectively displayed, and to assist in their production, as required. To follow all Health and Safety procedures whilst performing their duties. Maintain full product knowledge of the services available at the centre and advise customers accordingly. Adopt a pro-active approach to continuous service improvement. Supervise all customers to ensure the correct use of facility. Consistently and actively apply good housekeeping principles, such as turning off lights and equipment, when not in use, to contribute to our strategy to reduce utility consumption and carbon footprint. Monitor the centre’s facilities and report any defects to the Duty Manager Follow SSOW, manual handling and risk assessments for all set up tasks Such other related duties as from time to time may arise or be assigned by the Duty Manager.
