Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Managing Director to join a growing financial planning / wealth management business.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the overall performance, growth, and operational effectiveness of the business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to shape business strategy, improve financial performance, and ensure regulatory compliance across all areas of the organisation.
You will play a key role in leading teams, developing client propositions, and delivering long-term sustainable growth, while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the firm’s strategic direction and growth plans.
* Work with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive business performance and profitability.
* Identify opportunities for expansion, acquisitions, or new revenue streams.
* Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and risk management processes are in place.
* Monitor business KPIs and implement improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
* Ensure the business operates in line with FCA regulations and industry best practice.
* Work closely with compliance teams to maintain a strong control environment.
* Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and wider teams.
* Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and client outcomes.
* Maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Represent the business within the market and identify opportunities for growth.
Candidate Criteria
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within Financial Planning, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
* Level 4 Diploma qualified, ideally Chartered.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience driving business growth and profitability.
* In-depth understanding of FCA regulations and the UK financial services landscape.
* Experience managing senior stakeholders and leading high-performing teams.
