Pharmacy Technician - Primary Care Network (ARRS Funded)
Location: Practice-based across one or a maximum of two practices within Central and South Knowsley PCN

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care Network (PCN) team. The post is employed by Roby Medical Centre and will be practice-based, working at one or, depending on working hours, a maximum of two GP practices within Central and South Knowsley PCN.
You will work as part of an established pharmacy team, supported by Clinical Pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Both full-time and part-time working patterns will be considered.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include:
* Supporting medication reviews and medicines reconciliation
* Helping patients understand and use their medicines effectively and safely
* Promoting safe and effective repeat prescribing processes
* Assisting with audits, service improvement projects, and prescribing initiatives
* Liaising with community pharmacies and secondary care providers to support continuity of care
* Playing an active role in reducing medicines waste and improving prescribing outcomes

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science
Experience
* Experienced or keen to develop within primary care settings
* Committed to professional development and delivering high-quality patient care
Support and Development
Support with further training and supervision will be provided as part of the ARRS scheme, and you'll have access to CPD and peer support across the PCN.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: Equivalent to NHS Band 5
