We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor who is seeking the development opportunities and stability that comes with an all‑encompassing role of working within a busy transactional People Team.
We are located in the heart of Manchester and are within close proximity to transport links. We have a hybrid working approach so you will be required to work at our main office in Manchester one day per week and the rest from home.
Role Responsibility
* Serve as the first point of contact for ER guidance and offer extensive transactional advice and support to a team of front line managers and area management teams.
* Coach managers so that next time they feel more confident in managing their own queries.
* Have a thorough understanding of the disciplinary and grievance process, providing support to manage general conduct and performance concerns.
* Handle disciplinary activity up to and including gross misconduct cases and make escalations as required.
* Provide training to line managers in relation to key policy processes/ changes, induct and coach managers into new ways of working.
* Appreciate the value of management information, identify trends and take action on it.
* Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and maintain data records; have experience working with iTrent.
The Ideal Candidate
* HR Advisor with at least 12 months experience supporting a busy operation with case management experience and ideally experience in TUPE.
* Accredited with a minimum of CIPD level 5.
* Experienced HR professional confident managing a busy case load.
* Great team player, willing to roll your sleeves up and support your colleagues when they need help regardless of hierarchy.
* Support the administration that the team requires.
