Westonbirt School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Greenkeeper to join our Estates Team.
This role holds primary responsibility for the year-round maintenance and presentation of our nine-hole golf course, Club House, and associated outbuildings.
Hours, Salary & Benefits:
This is a part-time, all-year-round role with annualised hours of 1,248 per annum/ approx.
24 hours per week, but flexible around the requirements of the Golf Course .
Salary: Up to £30,000 pa FTE dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain greens to a high standard, ensuring they are well-mown, weed-free, and properly contoured, in line with guidance from the Estates Manager.
* Ensure tees are consistently presented with appropriate markers and ropes in place.
* Keep fairways in excellent condition, matching the standards of greens and tees.
* Monitor and maintain the safety and usability of all areas of the golf course, including roughs and overhanging trees.
* Oversee the cleanliness, security, and presentation of all golf course structures and buildings, ensuring they are safe and welcoming for users.
* Support the Grounds Team in preparing and maintaining school sports pitches, particularly during adverse weather or when golf course access is limited.
* Represent Westonbirt School in a professional, approachable, and informed manner.
* Operate and maintain estate equipment responsibly, reporting any issues and performing routine checks including fuel, oil, coolant, and antifreeze levels.
Person Specification:
* A genuine passion for golf and a commitment to maintaining the course and facilities to the highest standards.
* NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification.
* PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates (desirable).
* Practical knowledge of light mechanical equipment used in golf course maintenance.
* Understanding of the operational and commercial aspects of running a golf course, with the ability to balance maintenance priorities and course availability.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining professionalism during interactions with golfers.
* Willingness to work collaboratively within the Grounds Team when required.
