Occupational Therapy Assistant (Part Time)
We are looking for a confident Occupational Therapy Assistant with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working part‑time, 24 hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet St Williams. This is an exciting post for an individual who wishes to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of the Occupational Therapy profession within this role as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Job Responsibilities
* Supporting OT service delivery within the Neuropsychiatry Services.
* Working under the supervision of the Head Occupational Therapist at Cygnet St Williams.
* Providing direct clinical interventions under the direction of an experienced OT.
* Assessing, implementing and developing an occupational therapy treatment programme to meet patient needs.
* Carrying a clinical caseload on identified wards and working closely with multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Participating in joint working across wards for additional learning and professional development.
* Engaging patients in decisions about their treatment and recovery.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Professional experience or keen interest in Occupational Therapy (preference for current OT Assistant).
* Ability to work autonomously under supervision.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Enhanced DBS and reference check clearance (subject to successful clearance).

Working Conditions
Salary: £17,296.00 per year | Hours: 24 hours | Contract: Permanent | Site: Cygnet St Williams (Darlington, Northeast).
