Starbucks - Store Manager
We’re looking for leaders at Starbucks. Join us for coffee, stay for the community, connections, and opportunities.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store manager. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Here, your voice is brewed into everything we do. As a leader, you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, know the competition, and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and grow your business. You’ll also be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store leader working in a dynamic environment, you’ll set the example and lead from the front on shift. A typical day could include:
* Executing store operations through your team, on scheduled shifts and your days off, ensuring coverage for opening, closing, and weekends by yourself and your partners
* Analyzing data and leveraging in-store observations to inform decisions that improve customer experience and overall store performance
* Using forecasting and scheduling tools with your store leaders to manage labor within budget and recruiting diverse talent that meets store needs
* Cascading and implementing new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results
* Supporting your partners’ growth through performance management, coaching, and relationship building to understand their challenges, needs, and aspirations
* Setting challenging yet realistic goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance
Given the nature of our stores, working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
All retail partners begin their careers with us through an introductory training program led by our in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These programs are delivered in-store and provide on-the-job learning supported by your manager.
In return, we offer a competitive starting salary (aligned with the national living wage) and benefits, including:
* 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) plus a special day for personal celebrations
* Free drinks and food during your shifts
* Our store bonus program
* Bean stock options for all partners
* Comprehensive training, including coffee knowledge, and access to Starbucks Global Academy
* A free weekly bag of coffee and 30% partner discounts on food, beverages, and merchandise
* Discounts with local and national retailers through Perks at Work
* Life assurance
* Home Sweet Loan (interest-free loans for rental deposits)
* 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family
* Recognition schemes and awards for long service and excellent customer service
* Opportunities for long-term career growth within stores and support centers
If you’re seeking a new opportunity, with us you’ll be welcomed, challenged, and inspired. Here, you’ll be heard. Because here, you belong.
