What you’ll do on a typical day:
Working alongside the team FLM, you will take accountability for the distribution of the work amongst your team
* Acting as the first point of contact for colleague queries in relation to workload, you will ensure that the team performance is in line with expected KPI’s
* Ensure you are working with the FLM to lead the team in hitting the primary and secondary KPI’s linked to the contractual performance indicators, addressing and developing individuals where performance may fall short at any point
* Reviewing individuals’ daily achievements and supporting them with getting the best out of them by being an motivational and proactive leader
* Ensure that your team and their work areas are maintained to the acceptable Safety standards, with a focus on Road to Zero
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Proven experience in managing an operational team in a fast-paced warehouse
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
* Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis
* A high level of competence in data analytics and strong use of Excel/Google Sheets, able to provide supporting information and analysis in the form of spreadsheets and other visual aids
