We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager to lead and optimise our supply chain operations across EMEA. This role is pivotal in managing stock across multiple warehouses, ensuring timely and compliant shipments to countries both inside and outside the EU, and navigating complex import/export regulations. The successful candidate will manage a dedicated logistics team based in Guildford and oversee relationships with third-party fulfilment partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Management
* Oversee stock levels across UK and international warehouses.
* Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Coordinate with warehouse teams to optimise space, reduce waste, and improve turnaround times.
Shipping & Distribution
* Manage end-to-end logistics for B2B and B2C shipments across EMEA.
* Supervise the internal shipping team based in Guildford.
* Manage relationships with third-party fulfilment and logistics partners.
* Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods, balancing cost-effectiveness with service quality.
* Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and customs agents.
Import/Export Compliance
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK, EU, and international import/export regulations.
* Ensure all shipments comply with relevant customs documentation and duties.
* Handle regulatory changes post-Brexit and adapt logistics strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership
* Lead and develop a small logistics team based in Guildford.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
Process Improvement & Reporting
* Analyse logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement SOPs for logistics operations.
* Prepare regular reports on stock movement, shipping costs, and delivery performance.
Requirements
* Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within a multi-warehouse environment, and with in-house teams and 3PLs.
* Strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
* Familiarity with post-Brexit EU trade rules, UK import/export regulations, and IPOP
* Experience managing internal teams and external fulfilment partners.
* Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management software.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Leadership experience in managing logistics teams
Desirable
* Experience in consumer electronics or sporting goods industries.
* Experience with compliance legislation for electronic goods.
* Knowledge of Incoterms and international freight contracts.
