A leading player in the fresh produce industry is seeking a highly motivated Quality Technologist to join their technical team.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering excellent product quality, supporting growers and packhouses, and ensuring compliance with legislative and customer standards.
The Role
The Quality Technologist will:

Work closely with suppliers and packhouses to maintain product quality and compliance.
*
Provide technical support, conduct audits, and create action plans to drive improvements.
*
Proactively manage fruit quality through regular site visits and communication.
*
Analyse data and report on trends to influence supplier and commercial decision-making.
*
Collaborate with internal teams and customer technical managers to deliver on quality objectives.
*
Help minimise product claims and rejections while supporting the customer and supplier plans.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
*
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, capable of working under pressure.
*
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support the wider technical agenda.
*
Experience of Soft Fruit.
*
A willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad.
* Experience working with major UK retailers – ideally Tesco
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality standards in the supply chain and to support the delivery of exceptional products to customers.
This is a home-based role and includes access to a fully expensed company car as you will be expected to travel frequently throughout the UK.
