A small Independent Secondary School in central Birmingham requires a Teaching Assistant to carry out ongoing support this year for one of their pupils. 1. Working in a small SEN school that is about 10 minutes’ drive from Birmingham City Centre
2. The role is Monday – Thursday am– pm (4 days a week) with a 20-minute lunch break
3. Supporting on a one-to-one basis students withplex SEN
4. The school is looking for someone who has experience of working with children with Autism, in particular with students that are nonverbal
5. The role involves delivering one-to-one lessons with students on a 2-week rolling programme, so it would require someone who feels confident in delivering these sessions
6. The role is on an ongoing temporary time sheet basis, but the school is looking to take a suitable candidate on a temp to permanent basis
7. Experience of PECs or Makaton is desirable, as well as a proven track record of recent experience working with SEND children
8. Hays Education needs to be able to obtain references directly from school placements in order to clear a suitable candidate for work
