Water Recycling – Bioresources Delivery Manager
Salary: Circa £68,500- depending on skills and experience + company car/car allowance
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours a week + occasional management standby
Location: Hybrid - home, main offices, and 10 Water Recycling Centres across the region as required

Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. We are responsible for collecting and treating used water, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers and over 1,000 water recycling centres. Join our team to oversee the safe and sustainable operation and maintenance of these assets.
What will you be doing?
You will ensure the delivery of an annual production plan, guaranteeing its effectiveness across our Renewable Energy and Water Recycling Centres in the Anglian Water region. You will work closely with site teams to operate the 10 largest Water Recycling Centres 24/7, maintaining safety standards and environmental permits, while supporting renewable energy delivery. You will lead regulatory compliance efforts (IED, iGAS, BG01) through your Technical Managers and oversee our Risk Visualisation and Management Toolkits.
This role is vital to our mission of environmental protection through wastewater treatment, renewable energy production, and high-quality bioresource products, supporting Circular Economy, Sustainability, and Net Zero goals. We seek a dynamic leader with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure effective daily operations at our 10 largest Water Recycling Centres, adhering to safety and regulatory standards
* Manage wastewater and sludge treatment interfaces, maximizing throughput, gas, and power output at our Sludge Treatment Centres
* Maintain compliance to achieve a 4-star Environmental Performance Assessment
* Support operational teams in sustainable energy generation from STC assets
* Drive continuous improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to meet efficiency targets
* Support Bioresources Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Managers to enhance work quality and resource management
What does it take to be a Bioresources Delivery Manager?
* Experience in wastewater and sludge treatment operations or maintenance at management level
* Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH)
* Experience managing incidents, leaders, and technical experts
* Financial decision-making and budget management skills
* Technical knowledge of advanced digestion processes (Cambi, HPH) and sludge/wastewater treatment technologies
