Overview
Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal role at Avondale Vets. The successful candidate will join our growing small animal nursing team and work under the guidance of the Head Veterinary Nurse, providing high-level surgical nursing care to support a wide range of first opinion medical and surgical cases. The role includes nurse consultations, in-patient medical care, and involvement in diagnostic work such as cytology and urinalysis. You will also play a key role in dental nursing, including taking and processing dental radiographs and performing oral scaling and polishing. The position is supported by our dedicated reception team and pharmacy dispenser to allow focus on clinical duties.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-level surgical nursing care to support first opinion medical and surgical cases.
* Perform nurse consultations and provide in-patient medical care.
* Assist with diagnostic work such as cytology and urinalysis.
* Dental nursing duties, including taking and processing dental radiographs and performing oral scaling and polishing.
* Train student veterinary nurses and utilise a wide range of nursing skills.

Working Hours
35 to 40 hours per week, with the option of a 4- or 5-day workweek and 1:4 Saturday mornings. Flexible shift patterns are available to accommodate individual needs.
