Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Skilled (Permanent)
Location: Broughton
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 6 off rotation (includes days, nights, and weekends)
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a permanent role at a large industrial facility in Broughton. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both preventative and corrective maintenance across a diverse range of mechanical and electrical assets, including CNC machinery, conventional production equipment, paint shops, and chemical processing areas.
This role operates on a rotating shift schedule and reports directly to the Maintenance Process Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and unplanned corrective maintenance activities.
Identify and control hazards during maintenance tasks, ensuring safety is a top priority.
Execute maintenance tasks in compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
Conduct Dynamic Risk Assessments as needed.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults effectively to minimize equipment downtime.
Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance routines and reliability processes.
Build strong working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
Accurately document work performed using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Essential Requirements:
Time-served Maintenance Technician or Fitter, or equivalent hands-on experience.
HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Strong background in maintaining mechanical, electrical, or automated systems.
Proven ability in fault finding, diagnosis, and repair.
Comfortable working from maintenance procedures, technical documents, and schematic diagrams.
Experience working safely in hazardous environments (e.g. at height, with chemicals, electrical systems, stored energy, confined spaces).Ideal Candidate Profile:
