Responsibilities
* Inspecting, testing, servicing and repairing low-level access equipment in line with LOLER, PUWER and Speedy standards.
* Carrying out pre-hire and post-hire checks to ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
* Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs where required.
* Accurately completing service and inspection records using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
* Ensuring equipment is prioritised effectively to support depot operations and customer demand.
* Maintaining excellent health and safety standards within the workshop and on site.
* Supporting asset availability by working closely with depot and operations teams.
* Occasionally attending customer sites to carry out inspections, breakdowns or servicing if required.
* Delivering excellent customer service and representing Speedy in a professional manner at all times.
* Actively supporting Speedy's ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver through safe, sustainable and responsible working practices.
Requirements
* Previous engineering or workshop experience, ideally within access, lifting, mechanical or hire equipment environments.
* Good understanding of health and safety standards and compliance.
* Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A strong work ethic and positive, proactive approach.
* Ability to think on your feet and problem‑solve effectively.
