Caretaker

Location: St Damians RC COllege

Working Hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 6:30 am and 9 pm plus weekend shifts on a rota basis

Salary: £13.19 per hour

Your new role

What you’ll do:

1. Follow relevant Company procedures relating to security, access, basic maintenance & repair, and health & safety of the school site.
2. Arrange for appropriate maintenance as required
3. To report any faults to the line manager in accordance with agreed procedures.
4. Assisting the relevant section of RFM concerned with maintaining the premises, undertaking initial checks or inspections, and the various administrative procedures relating to maintenance activities, energy conservation, and anti-vandalism measures.
5. Taking delivery and arrange for the storage of materials, stores and other goods
6. Carrying out porterage duties as required. This will include the setting out of furniture and portable sports equipment as well as distribution of supplies related to both facilities management and school curriculum.
7. Undertaking emergency cleaning duties as required during hours of occupation
8. Carrying out minor or temporary repairs and maintenance tasks with the competence of the operator or report as necessary in accordance with agreed procedures.
9. Ensuring the delivery of services in accordance with customer service standards, policies and procedures-requirements.
10. Monitoring and maintain limited delegated budgets including accounting for expenditure and the handling and processing of cash, cheques and financial data

What you’ll need:

11. Previous experience in a similar role
12. Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working
13. Awareness of COSHH regulations

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List Check before starting in the job.
