Sheaf Training is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to play a crucial role in supporting student behaviour, engagement, and learning while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all. As a trusted advocate, you&ll help students overcome challenges, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and personally.
What You&ll Be Doing:
Mentoring and advocating for students, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.
Encouraging positive behaviour through Personal Engagement Agreements and tailored interventions.
Supporting learning delivery, helping students grasp key concepts and develop essential study skills.
Identifying learning and behaviour needs, working closely with colleagues to put the right support in place.
Providing constructive feedback, assessing progress, and celebrating student achievements.
Developing creative approaches to mentoring, using engaging techniques to inspire and motivate.
Referring to pastoral, academic, or external professionals when additional specialist support is required.

A compassionate and motivated individual with a strong commitment to student welfare and success.
Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting young people in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
A problem-solver with a positive approach to behaviour management and student engagement.
A strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
