About the Role:
Are you passionate about skiing and love being outdoors? Suffolk Ski Centre is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as atrainee Ski Instructor and Centre Assistant.
This hands-on role is perfect for anyone who enjoys sport, being outdoors, learning new skills, and working with people. You'll gain real experience helping with lessons and slope activities, all while training towards a recognised ski instructor qualification.
What You'll Do:
Learn to Instruct
* Take part in our in-house training programme to develop your skiing and teaching skills.
* Shadow experienced instructors during lessons and school sessions.
* Help beginners on the slope — offering encouragement, support, and a friendly face.
* Work towards achieving an entry-level ski instructor qualification
Support Centre Operations
* Assist with preparing the slope and equipment before and after sessions.
* Running sessions of tobogganing and ringos.
* Help fit boots and skis for customers and make sure equipment is returned safely.
* General site maintenance
* Keep areas clean, tidy, and safe for everyone using the facilities.
* Basic reception administration
* Provide great customer service — greeting visitors and answering questions and taking bookings.
* Help supervise the slope, ensuring everyone follows safety rules.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
* Enthusiastic about skiing or outdoor sports.
* Friendly, reliable, and confident talking to people.
* Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
* Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
* Happy to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
Desirable:
* Some skiing experience (on snow or dry slope).
* Previous experience helping others — e.g. in sports, school, or volunteering.
* Interest in pursuing a career in the snowsports or leisure industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 42 per week
