Are you an experienced professional in radioprotection looking to progress your career within a highly specialised field? We are recruiting for a Radioprotection Engineer to support the delivery and technical management of complex radioprotection systems within a safety-critical environment.

The Opportunity
As a Radioprotection Engineer, you will act as a central technical contact for radioprotection-related contract matters. You will be responsible for overseeing technical delivery, supporting supplier activities, and ensuring systems are aligned with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
You will play an integral role across design, construction, and commissioning stages, ensuring radioprotection systems are effectively developed, reviewed, and implemented in line with project expectations.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Acting as the primary technical interface for radioprotection contract-related topics
* Evaluating equipment designs to ensure alignment with technical specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements
* Overseeing supplier activities to ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, timelines, and cost
* Reviewing and coordinating supplier documentation to ensure quality and compliance
* Supporting contract execution through technical oversight and coordination of key stakeholders
* Preparing supplier feedback and participating in clarification discussions
* Managing risks, opportunities, outstanding items, and contract changes
* Coordinating input from technical specialists, engineers, and subject-matter experts
* Overseeing system design and operational performance during all project phases
* Producing and maintaining system documentation, including operational guidance and safety-related materials
* Reviewing and assessing proposed modifications for accuracy, necessity, and feasibility
* Monitoring delivery schedules and ensuring milestones are achieved
* Contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities
What We’re Looking For
* Strong working knowledge of radiation types, exposure limits, and radioprotection requirements
* Understanding of radiation monitoring equipment, including functionality, calibration, and performance expectations
* Experience reviewing technical documentation and supplier deliverables
* Ability to assess engineering designs against compliance and safety criteria
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a radioprotection or related technical field
* Strong coordination and communication skills when working across technical teams
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Health Physics, or Radioprotection
* Experience within environments such as hospitals, universities, or specialist radiological organisations
* Familiarity with radioprotection professional networks or industry-related organisations
