Role Overview
Do you want to drive forward the circular economy and influence future waste legislation? We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy.
You will collaborate with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and industry to implement significant legislative reforms. You need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of translating policy into action.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation for workstreams such as Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme, with support for other workstreams as needed.
2. Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry.
3. Driving reforms in waste management to change how waste is managed in England, including developing digital systems and policy analysis.
We operate as a dispersed team using smart tools to stay connected, with some travel and overnight stays required.
The Team
You will join our Producer Responsibility Team, leading reforms to waste regulations to meet government ambitions for resource conservation and waste minimization. Our culture promotes inclusivity, support, and innovation to influence policy, legislation, and resource allocation.

Additional Information
