Senior Residential Child Care Worker
Join our Residential Service in Lancashire as a Senior Residential Child Care Worker, a key role in leading a team of childcare workers and ensuring the safety, care and development of children with complex needs.
About the role
As a Senior Residential Child Care Worker, you will lead and support a team of Residential Childcare Workers, champion the care, safety and development of children, help implement care plans, promote education and support emotional wellbeing, and take a central part in inspections, safeguarding and care planning while modelling best practice, integrity and compassion.
This role will involve working on a rota basis, including days, evenings, weekends and sleep‑in shifts.
About you
* Holds a QCF Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field.
* Confident in leading shifts, mentoring staff and managing risk.
* Understands children’s legislation and safeguarding practices.
