£19,500 (+£3,300 in salary increments upon reaching training milestones)
Your week: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5pm)
Learning time - 6hrs per week off the job learning (1 day a week) with the training provider.
Join us as a Multi Skilled Apprentice and start your career in the trades! You’ll be part of our friendly Internal Repairs Team, learning hands-on skills like carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying and more – all while getting paid and working towards a qualification. This apprenticeship is a great way to earn, learn and make a difference in your local community.
Qualification: City & Guilds Property Maintenance (9673)
Duration: 24 months + 3 month EPA
Provider: Places for People (PFP)
4 days every month will be spent in Derby undertaking practical training relating to the job role with PFP. All training related travel and costs will be covered by the company.
You’ll spend the rest of your time in and around our Milton Keynes office, shadowing your supportive team. You’ll need to travel to different sites and the MK office as required.
Snapshot of your role
You’ll get hands-on experience across a range of building and repair tasks. Some of the skills you’ll learn to do include:
* fixing and maintaining plumbing systems
* carrying out basic carpentry and joinery, like repairing doors and windows
* finishing work such as plastering, tiling and laying floors
* concreting and small brickwork jobs
* drainage tasks, including unblocking drains and laying pipework
You’ll also learn how to keep your tools and materials organised, work safely, and deliver great customer service. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in making homes safe and comfortable for our customers.
Your toolkit for success
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
* A basic understanding of what a multi skilled apprentice does
* Basic IT skills (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Good communication skills
* A positive attitude and a real interest in learning a trade
* The determination to grow and develop as a professional
DBS clearance is required for this role.
