Mace is engaged as delivery partner to Babcock in supporting the delivery of a major upgrade of existing facilities within HMNB Devonport. These major upgrades will enable deep maintenance work packages for the latest class of nuclear-powered fleet submarines. Dock upgrades to support the Astute operational programme will enable optimisation of maintenance. Mace is playing a key role in delivering these upgrades. The key requirements will be to plan, direct, manage and oversee implementation of the civil engineering design and construction works to ensure the clients goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule, budget and defined health, safety and quality parameters. Effective communication with client, contractor and sub-contractors, consultants, management of client and project stakeholders is required. You’ll be responsible for: Supporting project managers in delivering key outputs. Reviewing and manage design process engagement. Assisting procurement and subcontractor appointments. Monitoring trade packages and delivery programme. Managing contractor reporting and dashboards. Chair progress meetings and track performance. Reviewing technical submittals, RFIs, and scope changes. Ensuring package close-out and quality compliance. You’ll need to have: Degree or HNC in engineering discipline. Knowledge of NEC contracts and design processes. Experience in groundworks and regulated sectors. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
