Overview
Hull City Council is seeking to appoint an Energy Efficiency Project Officer within the Energy Efficiency and Regeneration Team to tackle the decarbonisation, energy efficiency and fuel poverty agenda. You will contribute to the development of the council's Decarbonisation Strategy and Action Plan, analyse energy and housing data to identify trends, assess project impact, and support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners and residents to implement energy efficiency measures, secure funding, and monitor progress toward net-zero goals. Responsibilities
* Assist in the development of the council Decarbonisation Strategy and Action Plan.
* Contribute towards decarbonisation projects across council housing stock.
* Support the development and delivery of retrofit programmes, including insulation, heating upgrades, and renewable technologies.
* Monitor project performance, budgets, and compliance with funding requirements.
* Engage with tenants and stakeholders to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
* Contribute to funding bids and reporting for government funded schemes.
Qualifications
* Experience in project delivery within the housing decarbonisation sector, with an understanding of retrofit, low carbon technologies and fuel poverty.
* Strong IT skills with the ability to use databases to manage, monitor and analyse data effectively.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
