About the Role
A forward-thinking, nationally recognised law firm is looking to welcome a passionate and pragmatic Employment Solicitor or FCILEx into its growing team in either Bristol or Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to take real ownership of your caseload while working with one of the UK’s leading providers of employment legal services. The team is known for its friendly, inclusive culture and high-quality work.
This role involves managing a busy caseload of legal expense insurer files, advising clients through the full Employment Tribunal process, and contributing to non-contentious advisory matters. You’ll work in a collaborative environment that values support, shared knowledge, and a commercial mindset. There’s also the opportunity to supervise junior team members and contribute to wider business development initiatives.
The role will include:
* Running Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish – drafting ET1/ET3s, preparing witness statements, negotiating settlements, and instructing counsel.
* Advising clients on settlement agreements and day-to-day HR queries.
* Supporting non-contentious matters such as drafting contracts, handbooks, and HR policies.
* Complying with strict SLA requirements for insurer clients.
* Delivering training, legal updates, and occasional client-facing presentations.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx with strong employment law experience.
* Be confident managing a tribunal caseload independently.
* Have excellent drafting, communication and time management skills.
* Be commercially astute and solution-focused.
* Be a team player, adaptable to working in both remote and office-based settings.
What You’ll Get in Return
* Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
* Hybrid working or fully remote (following office integration).
* Flexible hours – full-time and part-time options considered.
* Generous annual leave and health benefits.
* Supportive development pathways and clear career progression.
* A dynamic, inclusive working culture with “Dress for Your Day” policy.
