We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive individual to lead and develop the administration for the SEN team. These positions (2) support the SEND department in all aspects of the team's functions, including coordination of the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) review process and ensuring all associated tasks are completed to a high standard and within statutory deadlines. The role also involves first‑line triage for SEND communications across multiple channels, managing communications with families, professionals and local authorities, producing and managing documentation and records, maintaining accurate records and cost‑mapping, typing reports and correspondence, coordinating diary and logistics, and supporting the SENCO/Deputy SENCO with administrative duties.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate EHCP review processes and statutory deadlines.
* Conduct first‑line triage of SEND communications.
* Manage communications with families, professionals and local authorities.
* Produce and maintain documentation and records.
* Coordinate diary, logistics, and support SENCO administrative tasks.
Qualifications
* Excellent administrative and ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to manage workload independently and work effectively under pressure.
* Experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviour or social and emotional needs, is advantageous.
* Good understanding of the education system.
* Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
Working Hours and Salary
37 hours per week: 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 4.00pm Friday (includes a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break). Term‑time only plus 8 Professional Development Days. Salary: Scale 4, SCP 7‑11 (dependent on skills and experience) £26,403 – £28,142 FTE. Actual salary (pro‑rata) £22,680 – £24,173.
