Job title: Ukulele Tutor
Hours: Self-employed role with flexible hours – term time only
Job role
– Prepare and lead small group music lessons in a primary school environment with the help
of an interactive syllabus and our supportive team.
– Responsible for students working towards learning goals and achievements throughout the
school year.
– Distribute achievement awards and stickers to students.
– Communicate clearly with school staff and Front Row Music regarding student progress,
performances and any other relevant information regarding lessons.
– Work towards two performances each year to showcase what the students have covered in
lessons.
– Regularly meet a Front Row Music tutor manager for feedback and support.

Required documents and training:
– Enhanced DBS check – available via Front Row Music upon a successful application (please
make us aware if you already have an enhanced DBS certificate).
– Public Liability Insurance – available through the Musicians Union and other independent
insurers.
– Safeguarding Training – successful applicants will receive safeguard training from the
Musicians Union free of charge.
– Teaching experience – although it isn’t essential, previous teaching experience is preferable.
Successful applicants will receive:
– On-the-job training and year-round tutor support.
– Access to the Front Row Music tutor app containing live registers, lesson plans, tips for
getting the most out of lessons and classroom games.
– Instruments for use in schools.
