Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a Lead Ecology Surveyor. Location: Flexible/Remote work from SPA sites across the region. Employment Type: Short term input only. The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for Lead Ecology Surveyors to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Lead Ecology Surveyor? You will be responsible for leading in the delivery of ecological survey work supporting the Technical Leads in various specialisms. You will be responsible for the co-ordination, execution, and the associated data management of both pre- and post- survey ecological survey work related to various specialisms as listed below. Bats (Tree climbing & survey work) Ornithology Great Crested Newt Hazel Dormouse Habitats (UK Habitats & Hedgerow, NVC) Riparian Mammals River Morphology Ecological Clerk of Works You will collaborate with other teams across the Anglian Water (AW) framework to support the business to meet its needs in bringing environmental and social prosperity to the region through our commitment to love every drop. Key responsibilities: Pre-survey organisation including but not limited to TSPA and GoSmart creation, hotel and hire car bookings, AW inductions including Passport to Work and pre-site briefings Working in the field to conduct surveys and collect data on the iPad. Upload survey data to field maps Post survey emails to confirm survey completion and highlight any issues encountered whilst on site. A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you have: A qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant environment or technical discipline. Experience of working at a high-level within ecology teams focusing on Habitat and BNG deliverables or other technical functions specific to your specialism (e.g. bats, ornithology, great crested newt, river morphology, mammals, and dormouse, etc.). Relevant qualifications, training, appropriate licences, and previous experience of carrying out similar ecological survey work relevant to your particular discipline or specialism. Excellent health and safety awareness. Document production and data collection experience using various software inc. ARC GIS on iPad.
