We are recruiting an Ethics and Governance Manager to lead and develop the University’s policies, procedures, infrastructure and operational systems. The key purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to minimise financial and reputational risk to the University. As the University\'s specialist in this area, you will oversee the University ethics and governance framework which covers all disciplines and all levels, from undergraduate through to funded staff research. You will also manage the due diligence process.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the University\'s ethics and governance framework across all disciplines and levels.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to minimise financial and reputational risk.
* Manage the due diligence process.
* Build collaborative relationships and networks across the University, relevant national bodies and other universities.
* Design and deliver training to academic and non-academic audiences as required.
Qualifications
* A strong track record of initiating and delivering pan-institutional initiatives including projects, policies and processes in a large organisation across disciplines.
* Comprehensive knowledge of research, ethics, integrity and due diligence governance, procedures and legislation including the workings of relevant external authorities and regulatory agencies.
* Experience in designing and delivering training to academic and non-academic audiences.
* Proven ability to manage and motivate staff.
* Understanding of the challenges facing higher education, including knowledge of the policy and funding environment governing the management of university research and knowledge exchange.
