UPS Security Investigator Specialist
Location: West Division (Base location flexible)
This is a full‑time role based in the West Division and requires a high degree of flexibility. As security operations at UPS run 24/7, the successful applicant must be prepared to work outside standard hours and respond to incidents when required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. The role may also involve travel across the region and, on occasion, overnight stays, depending on operational requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Work 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility required.
- Prevent loss of customers’ merchandise by assisting operations in providing a quality service and ensuring safe transit through the network.
- Audit the implementation and adherence to operational and security processes and procedures within UPS Small Package, Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics facilities and Healthcare facilities.
- Safeguard buildings and facilities, vehicles, and assets through risk assessment, auditing and implementation of physical security measures.
- Conduct claim analysis, investigation and reporting of security‑related incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Lead and implement security‑focused projects.
- Carry out thorough investigations while liaising with a variety of departments.
- Be on rota for weekend “On‑Duty Investigator”.
What You’ll Need
- In‑depth knowledge of UPS / logistics operations preferable.
- Educated to A‑level qualification minimum; university degree desirable but not essential.
- Experience within the logistics field preferable.
- Excellent working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, and e‑mail).
- A full, clean driving licence, current passport and ability to travel to other countries.
- Organisational skills essential, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Highest level of discretion and integrity, maintaining absolute confidentiality.
- Previous work in a Security Investigator role preferable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work non‑standard hours in line with 24/7 security operations.
- Ability to respond to incidents at short notice.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
- Professionalism, discretion, and reliability in sensitive situations.
