About The Role & Who Were Scouting
Were on the lookout for a passionate, experienced, and skilled Safety and Security professional to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club, to play an integral role in the Club's operations as Head of Safety and Security.
The role will lead on all matters in relation to Safety, Security and Health & Safety across the Club, reporting directly to the Clubs Director of Stadium Operations and advising the Clubs CEO and Board of Directors as necessary. You'll be Responsible for the management of the Stadium Safety Operation, in the role of Senior Safety Officer, undertaking the planning for and deployment of stewarding staff to ensure that the requirements of the Stadiums Safety Certificate are complied with and that spectator safety is maintained, with all staff members delivering excellent standards of customer service.
The preferred candidate will;
be able to rely on a proven track-record of leading a large team of employees and casual workers, ideally within a stadium / professional sporting environment, ensuring the seamless integration of matchday and non-matchday security requirements through the management of services provided internally under the Security Operations Manager and event-based security teams such as stewards, agency security teams and the Police
have extensive and in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations to guide and develop H&S experts already within the Club and enable effective management of H&S across all LCFC sites, establishing suitable systems and controls for the safety of staff and visitors, whilst minimising any impact on the environment
have demonstrable experience across all aspects of Stadium Safety and Security including, but not limited to, Counter-terrorism, Fire Safety, Venue Legislative Compliance and Event Safety.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and prepared to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where required for matchdays, and were looking for someone who thrives in a high-pressure, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Due to the responsibilities of the role, there is strict criteria that applicants should match (please see enclosed job description for a full list of duties and qualifications required);
Essential
NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management or equivalent standard
Possess high levels of both verbal and written communication skills
Possess high levels of influencing and team working skills across all levels of staff with a supportive approach to all colleagues
To have the ability to lead people, being able to deal with all types of emergencies demonstrating analytical thinking and strategic judgement
Experience of creating strategic plans and procedures to meet operational and safety requirements
Possess considerable knowledge in both the safety and security fields, crowd management and related public disorder strategies within the sport/entertainment environment
Proven successful experience as a Safety Officer at a major stadium
Significant understanding and awareness of the relevant applicable legislation for venues and major events
Customer focus to drive quality and level of service
Be well organised and be able to prioritise actions whilst maintaining an attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Confident in presenting work both on paper and in person
Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Flexible approach to working hours
Must be able to overcome obstacles to solve problems to achieve results
A commitment to continuing professional development and undertaking required training, including mandatory Club Equality, Diversity and Health and Safety training.
Desirable
NEBOSH Certificate
RQF Level 5 in Crowd Safety Management
An understanding of the English Football framework, including experience working with both the Premier League and English Football League
An understanding of the European Football framework, including experience working in UEFA leagues and competitions at any level
