East Lothian Council's Children's Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to join the Disability Team. This is our specialist team working with children, young people, and their families affected by complex and enduring disabilities. The team consists of a team leader, 2 senior practitioners, social workers and family support workers and has dedicated administrative support.
A vacancy exists for a Senior Practitioner to lead the Disability Team's Share the Care service. This is an opportunity to drive forward the delivery of this short break service for children with a wide range of disabilities. The role involves recruiting, assessing, supporting and supervising a team of carers. The successful applicant will have a passion for promoting inclusion and supporting young people to be active in their local community. The role will also include being responsive to the emerging needs of the team and wider service.
