As our Housing Solutions Manager in Central Services, you will report to the Chief Officer – Housing and Communities and lead the strategic development of housing services within North Lanarkshire, ensuring strategic plans are implemented and digital transformation is progressed across the service.
You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of central housing functions, including community safety and CCTV provision, public protection, the out-of-hour housing service, housing strategy, tenant participation and digital transformation
A key role will be to develop these functions to ensure our service identifies and responds to the changing needs of our local communities and reflect the growing demand for digital services.
You should have substantial experience in housing management, strategic planning and service development, preferably gained in a public sector environment with the ability to interpret external business trends to inform future service delivery. Your experience should include managing budgets and partnership working with a track record of delivering and developing high performing quality services and the ability to motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team.
A Postgraduate Diploma in Housing Studies (SCQF Level 11) or a Housing Degree with a postgraduate level Leadership/Management qualification (SCQF11) is essential. You will possess strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills and demonstrate high personal drive and motivation to deliver housing solutions to meet the council’s priority outcomes.
A leadership or management qualification and experience of risk management are desirable.
Please note, as part of your duties and responsibilities, you will be required to participate in the Council Incident Officer standby rota, which will require you to be on standby out of office hours, for a period of one week, approximately four times a year. For this, you will receive payment in line with the Council’s Conditions of Service and full training will be provided. This will be discussed further at interview.

Work pattern:
35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
