Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Hours: Monday to Friday (38 hours over 4 or 5 days)
Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum
Overtime: Available at time and a half
We're seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter to join a growing team in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both online and offline programming and confident working from technical engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
* Set, program, and operate CNC milling machines in line with production and safety standards
* Perform online and offline programming (experience with Heidenhain controls preferred but not essential)
* Carry out minor maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency
* Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar CNC machining role
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Experience with Heidenhain systems is advantageous
