Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Raceview Hatchery
Salary: Around £41,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
Staffline is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled MEngineer to join the team at Pilgrim's Raceview Hatchery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical and mechanical engineer to play a key role in supporting production performance, equipment reliability and site maintenance operations within a busy hatchery environment.
The role is based on a 39-hour working week, with hours worked across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, and Wednesday from 7:00am to 2:30pm.

6. Hands-on role supporting production, reliability and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities
8. Carry out repairs and maintenance on hatchery machinery, equipment and site vehicles
9. Support electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site
10. Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on automated machinery
11. Complete installation work, including supporting and managing contractors during site visits
12. Participate in fault finding, re-engineering and continuous improvement of plant and equipment
13. Implement preventative maintenance schedules and complete associated maintenance documentation
14. Carry out statutory inspections as required
15. Monitor energy usage through BMS software
16. Support spare parts management and stock control
17. Work safely and in line with company Health & Safety procedures at all times
18. Complete any other reasonable duties required by the business
Essential Criteria
19. Time-served or skills-served in both electrical and mechanical engineering
20. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
21. Experience fault finding on automated machinery
22. Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems
23. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
24. Good reasoning and problem-solving skills
25. Competent using computers, including Microsoft Office applications
26. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
Desirable Criteria
27. Ability to make decisions and use initiative
28. Good communication and interpersonal skills
29. Experience working with poultry processing machinery
30. Experience within a food, agri-processing or production environment
