As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster a love for literature and language, support academic progress, and encourage confident self-expression in students of all abilities. Teacher of English Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Teach key areas including reading, writing, grammar, and literature. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track attainment. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school objectives. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and previous experience teaching English in secondary schools is desirable. Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
