One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Head of Safeguarding, Quality & Practice. This is a temporary contract for 2 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance.
Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible for the supervision and line management of the mobile/relief caretaking team, ensuring they provide services to estates set out within the caretaking and quality assurance manuals. They will ensure their team are well trained, knowledgeable and compliant with Health and safety legislation associated with this role, including use of PPE, safe and efficient use of chemicals and equipment, accident and incident reporting etc.
The post holder will resolve issues creatively, sensitively and in line with procedures. They will ensure to keep accurate records on caretaking, ensuring robust processes are in place for recording service charges, performance monitoring, sickness absence, risk assessments and all other records relating to their team. They will also act as an ambassador of the Council on the frontline service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
