Salary: £33,379 per annum (pro rata if applicable) Contract: Permanent Hours: 35hrs per week ( welcome applications for part hours also 28hrs - 35hrs per week) Closing date: 6th May 2026 Interview date - 19th May 2026 ​ Document links: Job description: SC811 Team Leader Western Bay April 2026 External.doc Application form: Application Form July 25.docx Guidelines for Applicants Guidelines for Applicants - Nov 2024.pdf ​ Please note CV's submitted will not be put forward for shortlisting. ​ ​ Job Introduction: The Team Leader (Western Bay) will be responsible for ensuring that high quality, responsive and effective housing advice services are delivered across the Western Bay region, which includes Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend. ​ This post takes direct line management responsibility for all Housing Law Caseworkers who are delivering face-to-face housing advice services to the Western Bay region. Housing advice services are delivered by phone, through outreach based advice surgeries, and at county courts when housing possession cases are listed, offering specialist legal advice and support. Housing Advice Services are funded through the Welsh Government, the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) and local authority contracts. ​ The post holder will also be expected to undertake up to a maximum of 23 hours direct casework per week (to be agreed with the CHAS Lead) in order to make a delivery contribution, meet the LAA Supervisor Standard and maintain casework expertise. Hybrid working - We are developing a flexible and hybrid working approach for all staff, with a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office and have offices across Wales (Cardiff, Swansea, Rhyl, Felinheli and Wrexham) and employees are provided with an office base. Workplace counselling - frontline workers have access to bi-monthly peer support and reflective practice groups, facilitated by a counsellor. Frontline Workers can also access 121 counselling sessions. Employee Assistance Programme to help staff to deal with personal problems that might impact on work performance, health and wellbeing. The programme offers a wide range of support, including online resources, counselling, legal & financial support and referral services. Financial Shelter Cymru operates a contributory pension scheme – employer contribution 4.25% and 5% employee contribution. Non-contributory group life assurance scheme (up to two times annual salary) Enhanced maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption pay Enhanced sick pay scheme. Contribution to Christmas party.
