A global luxury retailer is looking to recruit for a deputy general manager to work in one of its multi-million pound flagship locations. This luxury retailer specialises in beauty and luxury goods, boasting a large number of exclusive products that you are not able to find anywhere else on the high street. The UK arm of the company is performing extremely well, despite the current economic climate. They have been beating sales forecast and are delivering a record-breaking sales performance.
The role of a deputy general manager in this organisation is slightly different to a normal retail management role. It is to drive sales through the effective management of product range, placement and stock holding. You will also work with a large number of retailers who operate from the site on a concession basis. Your role will be to work alongside the brands to ensure the sales and commercial targets are achieved. There is a large amount of stakeholder relationship management required in the role. You will be liaising with buying, merchandising, space planning and suppliers, as well as the team based in the store itself.
