Contracts Manager – Groundworks
Devon & Somerset
Permanent | Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with groundworks and civil engineering experience to join a long-standing regional Contractor to manage their sites across Devon & Somerset.

The Role:
1. You will be tasked with the overall management of designated sites, ensuring site health and safety, compliance, and standards are maintained.
2. Managing site teams, direct labor, and subcontractors.
3. Ensuring all plant and materials are fit for purpose.
4. Ensuring PPE and on-site HSE measures are in place.
5. Planning and programming to deliver sites on time.
6. Collaborating with internal and external Health and Safety consultants, advisors, and auditors.
7. Regular liaison with clients on progress and attending meetings.
8. Ensuring timely delivery of sites within budget.
9. Coordinating with commercial and technical teams.
10. Sourcing and recruiting site teams and labor, overseeing ongoing training and HR matters.
Requirements:
* Experience at Contract Manager level within groundworks, including housing and commercial projects.
* Strong programming and planning skills.
* Good health and safety management, RAMS, and COSHH knowledge; SMSTS ticket is required.
* Commercial and financial understanding.
* Full Driving License, as sites are across the region.
Salary is dependent on experience, approximately £65,000 - £75,000, plus a company vehicle or car allowance.
