THE PROJECT:
I recently left a corporate career in Europe to start a high-end takeaway food business here in Australia. I am currently running a highly profitable market stall (selling hand-cut, double-fried beef tallow frites and handmade schnitzels), but the goal is bigger.
Starting now, I am launching a "100-Day Challenge" to rebrand the business, document the financials, and open a brick-and-mortar shop. I am filming everything. I need a sharp Editor/Producer to partner with me to turn this raw footage into a high-performing YouTube and short-form ecosystem from Day 1.
THE VIBE: The Bear meets The Big Short. Raw, industrial, high-stakes, and financially transparent. No "vlog" fluff.
THE TWO CONTENT STREAMS:
1. The "Trench" Work (Short-Form: IG/TikTok/YT Shorts)
The Footage: I'm wearing Meta/Google glasses to capture true, visceral POV footage of operations. Sizzling oil, chopping, market lines, and the chaos of service.
The Output: Fast-paced, highly engaging short-form content.
The Goal: Native platform growth. You need strong meme awareness, snappy pacing, and the ability to find hooks in everyday operational moments.
2. The "War Room" (Long-Form: YouTube)
The Footage: Direct-to-camera deep dives (10–15 mins) breaking down the business. The P&L, the lease negotiations, the brand design process, the failures, and the wins.
The Output: Clean, highly retained YouTube documentaries/episodes.
The Goal: Building brand authority and audience trust. You will help structure the narrative arc, optimize intros/pacing, and pull the best cutdowns.
WHO YOU ARE:
More than just a cutter: You are a storyteller who understands the architecture of a good YouTube video (hooks, retention, pacing).
Chronically Online: You understand current TikTok/Reels trends, meme formats, and what makes a thumbnail clickable.
A Builder: You are excited about the prospect of taking channels from 0 to 1 and having your fingerprints on the growth of a real-world brand.
THE LOGISTICS:
Raw Material: I will shoot the content regularly; you will never be short on footage.
Compensation: Paid freelance/contract role (Let's discuss scope, turnaround times, and your pricing).
