About the role:
We are currently looking for Community Employment Mentors to join our Communities for Work Plus team in Neath Port Talbot.
The Community Employment Mentor will support the development and delivery of the Communities for Work Programme to support people and remove any barriers to help them return to work. The Community Employment Mentor will have a caseload of customers and work with the individuals to help them gain skills and overcome barriers to return to the workplace.
The main duties of the post; The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with excellent communication skills, and have experience of inter-agency working and working with communities and individuals; project development; monitoring and evaluation and organisational skills.
About you:
Do you have:
1. Experience of providing support and mentoring either in an employment based or similar intensive support service.
2. Experience of working with customers who are experiencing poverty and barriers to employment.
3. Experience of joint working with statutory and voluntary agencies.
4. Experience of working with hard to reach customers with multiple needs.
Ideally you will have:
5. 4 GCSE's grades C or above, or a qualification of a comparable level (eg. Intermediate GNVQ Level 2, BTEC First Certificate, NVQ Level 2).
